I pay homage to my great-great-grandmother Ellen Louisa (Jackson) Mills, my adoptive great-great-grandparents, Ada and Sydney Smallfield, and Olive and Valentine Willis, my great-grandparents, who raised a family and built their working and loving lives from the beautiful Furneaux Islands.

I acknowledge and pay respect to the Palawa/Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the traditional and original owners, and as continuing custodians of this land, lutruwita/Tasmania, including Truwana/Cape Barren Island /Flinders Island.

I acknowledge their Elders, past, present and emerging.
